The Reality Check

So you have these wonderful new home plans and you’re supposed to understand what they “tell” you your house will look like, but every time you look at them you get a headache?  I understand completely.  Not everyone can understand how a collection of lines and symbols translates into a house.  But if you don’t know what you’re looking at, how will you know what the end result will look like?

I can help.  I have the ability to look at most floor plans and “see” what the end result will look like in my mind.  And I can help you “see” it, too.  I can help you “walk” through the house and “see” what it will look like, how it will function, and where the problem areas are, if any.  Wouldn’t you like to know that there is no front hall closet before the walls go up, or understand that guests must go through the dining room to get to the family room every time they come over?  Maybe you want the house designed that way, and that’s just fine, but if you don’t it’s good to learn it before the work begins.  Believe me, it is much less expensive to change a design on paper than once the work has begun!

Let me do a “reality check” on your new home or remodeling floor plans before you finalize them with your architect or contractor.  My competitive fees will be a small investment compared to the high cost of a later redo.  I am available for consulting  within a 30-mile radius of Landis, NC.  I can also work remotely with clients via email and mail.
